Suomenusko in the News

Happy midsummer everyone! This year carried a nice surprise, because suomenusko appeared in the news! YLE did an article about the group Karhun Kansa, who are trying to get suomenusko to become an official religion here. You can access the article here, and there is a short video along with it. The article describes why people are following the ancient Finnish religion and what it means to them. Karhun Kansa will be submitting an application to the government this summer in order to try to become a recognized religious group.
